Undaunted\, she continues to celebrate each happy day. \nWritten in the poetic\, distilled and brilliant style that crowned Beckett the greatest dramatist of his day\, Happy Days is a play about the power of the human spirit when faced with impossible circumstances. In the hands of two legends of Australian theatre-making\, this new production will plumb the original depths of Beckett’s script while exploring the play’s haunting and inspiring contemporary resonances. SUMMARY:Songs of First Desire
DESCRIPTION:This is a superb new play of passion\, history and politics\, intimate in its detail and epic in its storytelling. \nCamelia is losing her grip\, lost between the past and the present as she passes her days in the garden of her Madrid home. Her children employ Alejandro\, a Colombian migrant\, to look after her. But this house isn’t what it seems\, keeping the terrible secrets of history in its stones. As Alejandro’s presence begins to unlock the past\, it shakes a family that has buried its pain – and its country’s – for too long. \nThis is a dazzling piece of writing. Set in 1968 and the present\, it unpicks the instincts that drive individuals and whole societies towards fear and violence – and perhaps\, also\, reconciliation.

SUMMARY:Aria
DESCRIPTION:WORLD PREMIERE\nA symphony of discord unfolds at Monique’s annual family gathering\, celebrating her three beloved sons’ birthdays. While Monique’s adoration for her boys knows no bounds\, disdain for their wives is palpable. \nFestivities crescendo and Monique takes the spotlight with a performance of a renowned opera aria\, a poignant reminder of the dreams she sacrificed to raise her brood. In her mind\, she was destined for the illustrious stages of La Scala\, the Met and Covent Garden. \nBut beneath the facade of familial harmony\, dissonance brews.
